Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-06-r1 (private beta). Last updated October 2026.
Draft. Needs legal review before any deployment beyond the invite-only beta.
1. The service
FAMADOR is an educational portfolio analysis tool running as an invite-only private beta. It analyzes your stated objectives, risk profile, and budget constraints, builds illustrative portfolios from market data, and explains its reasoning so you can see how each allocation was reached. The Service is not a licensed financial advisory service and does not provide personalized financial advice.
2. Access by invitation
During the beta, accounts are created only with a valid invitation issued by the product owner. Invitations are single-use by default, expire, and are verified server-side; invitation codes are stored only as hashes. There is no open self-registration unless the owner explicitly enables it. The beta may be limited in scope, availability and support at the owner’s discretion.
3. For educational purposes
The Service is provided for educational purposes. It is not personalized financial advice. You make the final decisions in your own name with full knowledge that any output is an estimate formed under stated assumptions.
4. No trading or execution
FAMADOR never places orders, executes trades, or moves money. Proposals are model allocations for research. Accepting a proposal only records it against your account as a planning decision.
5. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secret and for all activity under your account. Your email is stored unverified and never grants elevated privileges. Projections, expected returns, and backtests are estimates derived from historical data and model assumptions. They are not promises. Past performance does not predict future results. Investing involves risk, including possible loss of all capital invested.
6. Data we store
We store your account details (username, email, password hash) plus your profiles, portfolios, positions, proposals, watchlist and audit events, all private to your account. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. We do not sell your data.
7. Sign-in logging
For account security, the Service records account creation, sign-in events (successful and failed), and terms acceptance with a timestamp and IP address. Session tokens, passwords and invitation codes are never logged. These records are visible to the account holder via the Audit panel.
8. Market data
Market data, quotes, and news come from third-party providers (Yahoo Finance, open.er-api.com) and may be live, delayed, cached or a committed snapshot. Each figure carries a provenance label. The Service is not responsible for third-party data quality.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or any portfolio built through it.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes bump the version number. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
For educational purposes. Not personalized financial advice. Investing involves risk, including possible loss of capital.
